F. Cappiello Dairy Products, Inc. is celebrating its sixteenth year of being certified kosher for dairy by the Orthodox Union. F. Cappiello Dairy Products, Inc. was certified in 1993 and continues to manufacture our cheeses fresh every day using premium quality and all natural kosher ingredients.
A local rabbi, who reports to the Orthodox Union, supervises the daily production of Cappiello mozzarella and ricotta cheeses. His important duties include personally adding the rennet to the milk used for all cheese production, checking all incoming raw ingredients to be sure they have the proper kosher certifications, and performs “hands on” kosherization and inspection of equipment to maintain kosher sanitary standards. The plant adheres to the Jewish religious calendar so when the rabbi must observe a religious holy day, the plant cannot produce mozzarella cheese at all.
The value of producing kosher cheese on a daily basis as opposed to specific kosher production “periods” during the year is to provide you with the freshest and best-tasting cheese possible. By making all of our cheese kosher everyday Cappiello cheeses are not mass-produced and do not need to be stored or frozen for long periods of time.
